Health In Our Hands
Health In Our Hands is an independent community owned and community operated organisation run entirely by volunteers. The centre operates in the Whyalla hospital precinct and provides its clients with a range of activities that compliment those provided by the acute and allied health services of the Whyalla Hospital. These activities include Tai Chi, Exercise and peer led lifestyle programs such as the Moving Toward Wellness Course. The centre is open 5 days per week from 10.00am to 3.00pm Monday to Friday. (closed public holidays).
The centre also works in partnership with the South Australian Dept. of Health and the Spencer Gulf Rural Health School in providing training to both health professionals and community members.
